What Arsenal need to do to compete next season?

For so long this season, the Gunners looked as though they were finally about to put to bed their inability to compete in the Premier League, having been stationed at the top for the largest amount of time out of all the competitors. However, some heavy losses to key rivals, most recently a 3-0 defeat to Everton, have left Wenger’s men once again feeling let down by their inability to challenge for the Barclays Premier League, with even players such as Santi Cazorla speaking of their lack of winning mentality. In my opinion, Arsenal need a complete reshuffle in order to compete for the Premier League all the way next season. I’m not suggesting an overhaul, because you can see that in parts of  the season Arsenal clearly have  the squad to win plenty of points. However, Wenger is focusing too much on the creative side of the game. For example, playing Cazorla and Rosicky on the wings on several occasions instead of, for example, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Podolski has lead...

Mesut Ozil has sealed a spectacular €47 million move to Arsenal after signing a five-year contract. The Gunners have smashed their transfer record to land the Germany international, who underwent the second part of his medical in Munich on Monday after agreeing personal terms with the club. Ozil has signed a deal worth around €150,000-a-week that will run until 2018 after Real Madrid gave the green light to his departure. He will comfortably become Arsenal’s highest-paid player as well as the club’s record signing, after Arsene Wenger sanctioned the first €23m-plus transfer in their history. Battle for Pride of London

Arsenal vs Chelsea Preview Arsenal will tomorrow face Chelsea in Super Sunday’s 1.30pm kick off. Chelsea have released a statement saying the game will be going ahead for the time being as long as there is not much more snow but have warned those attending to allow extra time for their journey to Stamford Bridge. Both teams will be looking to get back to winning ways, with both London clubs dropping points over the last few weeks. Arsenal will want to get back on track after losing 2-0 to Manchester City, whilst Chelsea lost a 2 goal lead against Southampton a few days ago. In terms of players who will miss the game, Chelsea will be without Nigerian pair John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses, who are at the African Cup of Nations tournament. Whilst they welcome back Terry, Ba and Torres to full fitness. Arsenal have more problems with Gervinho, Arteta, and Rosicky all missing this game.
