Arsenal sign Mesut Ozil .

Mesut Ozil has sealed a spectacular €47 million move to Arsenal after signing a five-year contract.

The Gunners have smashed their transfer record to land the Germany international, who underwent the second part of his medical in Munich on Monday after agreeing personal terms with the club.

Ozil has signed a deal worth around €150,000-a-week that will run until 2018 after Real Madrid gave the green light to his departure.

He will comfortably become Arsenal’s highest-paid player as well as the club’s record signing, after Arsene Wenger sanctioned the first €23m-plus transfer in their history.

THE VIEW FROM GERMANY

For the majority of people in Germany, Mesut Ozil’s move to Arsenal has come as a huge surprise. Arsenal are a well-respected club in Germany but are no longer considered in the same class as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Barcelona.

However, with the World Cup coming up next summer it is essential Ozil is playing first-team football on a regular basis as he is a fundamental part of the national team. Certainly his arrival will be a massive signing for the Gunners - this is a game changing move from Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal were in advanced discussions with Real to sign Ozil before Monday night’s transfer deadline.

The two clubs agreed a €47m fee before Ozil’s representatives began discussing personal terms with senior Arsenal officials.

An agreement was reached late on Monday morning before Ozil underwent medical tests in Germany, where he had been based as the national team prepare for their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Arsenal are hoping to sign at least three players on deadline day as they try to make amends for a frustrating summer of transfer activity at the club.

Goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano has already had a medical, which he passed on Monday morning, and has agreed the terms of a season-long loan from Palermo.

Where will Ozil fit in?
There is no doubt that the player about to become the new Arsenal signing, Mesut Ozil, is a `top, top` player, but just what will he bring to the Gunners? The only genuinely wide players that Arsenal have at the moment are Walcott and Miyaichi, and the former sees himself as a striker and not a winger. With Ramsey, Rosicky and Cazorla all jostling for midfield positions, the 40 million pound question is where would Ozil fit in?
Ozil will of course walk into the Arsenal eleven, but with their current form, no Arsenal fan would want that to be at the expense of Ramsey or Cazorla. Di Maria in my opinion, would have been the perfect fit and would have given us a first proper left winger since Pires. However, it seems Ancelotti has faith in him and the player it seems genuinely believes he can compete well against the 85 million pound man from Wales, Gareth Bale.
I think the most likely player to miss out when Ozil plays will be Tomas Rosicky. Cazorla can play on the left, with Ozil and his fantastic ability to create chances as the main attacking midfielder. With The Czech’s age and injury record, this move could help to prolong his Arsenal career, while he would be a fantastic option to have on the bench.
However, Arsenal is crying out desperately for the forward post to be strengthened; Arsenal are only a Giroud injury away from being severely exposed. From his two outings so far for the club, it seems Sanogo is far from being ready for being an able deputy.

Blunder by University and still careless

I am the last year Student of Khwopa Engineering College, affiliated to PurbanchalUniversity, Biratnagar. I got "I" grade in Design of steel and timber structure. 'I' refers to Incomplete(Not Qualified) or Absent in exam.  And i don't have neither of them. It's a huge blunder by University. Exam section head said, exam paper misplaced at first, later exam paper lost, now he says they found it and will publish my result till this tuesday.  Its like their tomorrow never gonna come. And another bad news is student with "I" grade can't attend chance exam, have to wait for back exam and this will force me to lost my whole single year. Its not a joke. Not a single fault of me, still i'm suffering this undeserved pressure. I w

Steve Bould and the Arsenal Defense: Has Anything Changed at All?

Has Steve  Bould  failed at his role as the defense expert at  Arsenal ?   The defensive errors that have cost Arsenal big games this season have led some to question  Bould ’s impact, the person whose arrival was expected to transform Arsenal’s defensive fortunes.   Part of the problem with Arsenal’s defending stems from the team’s tactical imbalance, an imbalance resulting from at least two factors.   I examine this in the following.   Later on, I examine the issue of Arsenal’s high line, an issue analyzed earlier in the week by  Gary Neville , who focused on the errors that occurred at the Arsenal-Spur match over the weekend.   I begin by looking at the tactical system that Arsenal use, the problems this system poses and the attempt to eliminate them by the coaching staff.   Stu Forster/Getty Images The Big Hole   I traced the epic collapse of the Dutch national team at the Euros last year to imbalance in their application of the 4-2-3-1 formation.
